Bosch line-up

Bosch dishwasher, washer, oven and fridge repair

Bosch sells dishwashers, fridges, ranges, cooktops, wall ovens and 24-inch compact laundry in Canada, and we repair all of them. Some Bosch dishwashers built from 2008 to 2015 were recalled in Canada over a power cord fire hazard; Health Canada's notice lists the models.

Bosch dishwasher repair

100, 300, 500, 800 Series and Benchmark

Every model on Bosch's current chart has AquaStop leak protection, and the water heater is built into the wash pump instead of lying on the tub floor. 800 Series machines add CrystalDry; 500 Series adds AutoAir.

  • E24 or E25 with water left in the tub
  • E15 after water reaches the base pan
  • E09 heater-pump fault, cold wash water

Bosch fridge repair

800 Series French door, bottom freezer, Benchmark built-in

French door and built-in Bosch models make ice with QuickIce Pro and filter water through UltraClarityPro cartridges. The sealed cooling circuit is outside our work, and the technician tells you plainly when testing points there.

  • E02: ice maker or ice-water control fault
  • E03 on the dispenser panel
  • No cooling while demo mode is left on

Bosch range and cooktop repair

800 Series and Benchmark slide-in, 300 Series freestanding

Slide-in ranges come in gas, dual fuel, electric and induction, plus matching cooktops. Gas models such as the HGI8046UC go to our TSSA-certified gas technicians, and on induction tops F2 or F4 means the electronics got too hot and shut zones off.

  • F2 or F4: induction electronics overheated
  • F5 from a hot pan near the controls
  • dE on the display, every zone cold

Bosch wall oven repair

30-inch single and double, Benchmark HBLP451UC and HBLP651UC

Bosch wall ovens are electric 30-inch units in single and double form. Bosch links E11, touch keys that stop responding, to condensation on the panel; wiping it dry and a 10-second breaker reset is the owner step.

  • E11: touch keys ignore every press
  • Slow preheat from a weak element or sensor
  • Door lock stuck after self-clean

Bosch compact washer repair

300, 500 and 800 Series 24-inch front-load

These 24-inch washers stack under a dryer or slide beneath a counter, and they run on 208 to 240 V rather than a standard outlet. Bosch asks owners to clean the drain pump at least once a year.

  • E18: drain hose or drain pump blocked
  • E17: inlet filters clogged, slow fill
  • Door will not lock (E16 or E34)

Bosch compact dryer repair

300 Series condensation, 500 and 800 Series heat pump

Every Bosch dryer sold here is ventless and electric. Condensation models heat with an element; heat pump models run a sealed refrigerant circuit, so a compressor fault is one we identify and explain rather than repair.

  • E01 or E02: lint filter blocked
  • E06: heating circuit fault
  • Long dry times from a soiled heat exchanger

Bosch display codes

Bosch dishwasher error codes: E24, E15 and more

Most of these codes appear on Bosch's Canadian support pages, and newer dishwashers show the same faults in a longer E:00-00 format. Each row gives the meaning and the part a technician tests next.

E24

Dishwasher

Water is not draining away. Bosch ties it to a blocked filter, a kinked drain hose or a disposal plug left in; newer panels show E:61-03.

What we test: Drain hose routing and its high loop, the disposal inlet, then the drain pump and its check valve.

E25

Dishwasher

The drain pump is blocked by debris, or its cover is loose or missing (E:61-02 on newer panels).

What we test: The pump impeller for glass or bone, the cover catch, and the pump motor winding.

E15

Dishwasher

Water has reached the base pan and AquaStop has stopped the machine. Newer displays show E:30-00 or E:31-00.

What we test: Where the water came from: sump seal, circulation hoses, heater-pump connections and the door seal.

E22

Dishwasher

Food debris is clogging the filters (E:92-40 on newer panels).

What we test: Filter seating, the micro filter mesh, and spray arm jets for anything that slipped past.

E09

Dishwasher

The heater built into the wash pump has a fault, so the water stays cold.

What we test: Heater continuity through the pump connector, then the supply from the control module.

E18

Compact washer

Water cannot leave the drum: the drain hose is blocked or kinked, or the drain pump is jammed.

What we test: The drain pump and its trap, then the hose run to the standpipe.

E06

Compact dryer

A fault in the heating circuit. Bosch leaves this one to a technician.

What we test: On condensation models, the element and its thermal cut-outs; on heat pump models, whether the compressor circuit is involved.

F2 / F4

Induction cooktop or range

The electronics overheated and switched off one zone (F2) or every zone (F4).

What we test: The cooling fan under the glass, airflow through the cabinet below, and the power board.

For most Bosch codes the maker's advice is a 30-second breaker reset, and for E15 it is to close the dishwasher's water supply valve. While Bosch's warranty still applies, call Bosch before booking a repair.

What shapes Bosch appliance repair

Bosch builds dishwashers and laundry a little differently from other makers. These are the points that decide how a Bosch repair goes in your home.

E-Nr and FD on the door edge

Bosch identifies each appliance by the E-Nr and FD numbers on the rating plate inside the dishwasher door. Reading both out when you book narrows the parts to your exact production run.

Drain codes sorted first

Bosch says several drain codes are not an appliance error: a loose pump cover, a disposal plug left in, a missing high loop. When one of those is the whole story, no part is needed, and any price is yours to approve before work starts.

Gas slide-ins handled properly

Gas and dual fuel slide-ins from the 800 Series and Benchmark lines go to our TSSA-certified gas technicians. Igniters, valves and burner spark are tested with the range in place.

Sealed-system faults named honestly

Bosch heat pump dryers and every Bosch fridge rely on a sealed refrigerant circuit we do not open. When a fault sits there, you are told plainly; everything else we fix carries 90 days on parts and labour.

Bosch dishwasher FAQ

Bosch dishwasher and appliance repair FAQ

Six answers built on Bosch's own manuals and code tables, with what a technician tests next.

Why does my Bosch dishwasher stop with E24 or E25 and water left in the tub?

E24 and E25 on a Bosch dishwasher mean water cannot drain: E24 points to a blocked filter or kinked hose, E25 to the drain pump. With the power off, rinse the filters, straighten the hose, remove the disposal knockout plug on a new hookup and clear the pump under the filter, then click its cover back in. If the code returns, we test the drain pump motor, its check valve and the hose loop; filters packed with food show as E22 instead.

Why does E15 appear on my Bosch dishwasher, and is water leaking?

Usually, yes, E15 on a Bosch dishwasher says water is sitting in the base pan, so AquaStop has shut the machine down to stop a leak. Bosch's instruction is to turn off the water supply to the dishwasher and book service, because the float switch in the base stays tripped while water sits in the pan. Suds from hand dish soap can trip it; otherwise we trace the water to the sump seal, a circulation hose, the heater-pump connections or the door seal.

How do you reset a Bosch dishwasher that will not start or finish a cycle?

A Bosch dishwasher is reset by cancelling the cycle; on current 800 Series models, open the door, hold On/Off for about 4 seconds, then close it. All the lights glow for about a minute, then leftover water pumps out; the button may differ on other series. For a dead panel, switch the breaker off for 30 seconds and check the door latches fully with the child lock off. If the same code keeps returning, we test the door latch switch and the control module.

What do the warning lights on a Bosch dishwasher mean?

Most warning lights on a Bosch dishwasher are reminders the owner clears: rinse aid refill, the water supply symbol, salt on softener models and machine care. An empty rinse aid dispenser lights the first; the water supply light means a closed valve, a kinked hose or weak flow. InfoLight, where fitted, glows while a cycle runs and flashes when the door is not fully shut. If the water light stays on with the shut-off valve open, the inlet side needs a technician.

Why are dishes still wet when a Bosch dishwasher finishes?

Bosch dishwashers dry by condensation, not with a heating element in the tub, so droplets on plastics and the tub walls are normal at the end. Bosch also advises a separate rinse aid even with all-in-one tablets, and 800 Series models add CrystalDry. Switching on Intensive drying in the basic settings, where offered, heats the final rinse more. If that final rinse never gets hot, we test the heater in the wash pump and the temperature sensor.

How many years does a Bosch dishwasher typically last?

Plan on roughly 9 to 10 years from a Bosch dishwasher, the life Consumer Reports gives dishwashers in general; a US builders' study put the figure at about 9. A drain pump or door seal is a sensible repair on a mid-life machine, while an E09 heater-pump or control module failure weighs more near the end of that range. On softener models, topping up the salt and descaling as Bosch advises keeps limescale, the E12 code, out of the heater pump.
