Warranty

Each repair we complete is backed for 90 days: the parts we supply are covered, and so is the labour to fit them. Below you will find the cover, the exclusions and the steps for a claim.

What the warranty covers

For 90 days from the repair date, our warranty covers:

  • The parts we supplied for the repair
  • The labour to fit those parts

It applies to the same fault we repaired. Should that fault reappear within those 90 days, a technician returns and repairs it at no extra charge.

For example, if we replaced the drain pump in your washer and the washer stops draining again because that pump has failed, the return visit and the fix are covered.

When the 90 days start

The 90 days count from the repair date shown on your invoice. Keep the invoice somewhere easy to find, such as with the appliance's manual, so the date is at hand if you need to make a claim.

What is not covered

  • A different fault, or a part we did not replace, even on the same appliance. If we fitted a new defrost heater in your fridge and the ice maker later stops working, that is a new repair.
  • Damage from misuse, accidents, power surges, flooding or pests
  • Problems caused by work someone else did on the appliance after our visit
  • Parts you supplied yourself: these are not covered by our parts warranty
  • Cosmetic wear, such as scratches, dents or faded finishes

If a problem turns out not to be covered, the technician explains why. Any new repair then follows the usual steps, and nothing is done until you approve the price.

How to make a claim

Phone us at (555) 555-5555, or send the details through the Contact Us form. To help us find your repair quickly:

  • Tell us you are making a warranty claim
  • Describe the fault and what the appliance is doing now, including any error code on the display
  • Have your invoice or the repair date handy

We then book a visit to look at the appliance. If the same fault has come back, we repair it under this warranty.

Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act

This warranty is in addition to your rights under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

The 90 days are our own promise. They do not replace, shorten or limit anything the Act gives you.

Repairs on gas appliances

Repairs to gas stoves, ovens and dryers carry the same 90-day warranty, and that work is done by our TSSA-certified gas technicians.

A smell of gas after any repair is a safety matter before it is a warranty claim. Get everyone out of the home, avoid switches and phones indoors, and from outside call 911 and Enbridge Gas at 1-866-763-5427. Once the home is safe, call us about the repair.

Manufacturer's warranty

A manufacturer's warranty is separate from ours. While your appliance is still under the maker's warranty, contact the maker first, using the support details in your owner's manual or on the maker's website.

Keep the maker's warranty papers with your purchase receipt, as a maker will usually ask for the date of purchase. Once the maker's warranty has ended, you can call us to book a repair in the usual way.
