Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you book a repair visit with King Valley Appliance Repair. They cover booking, access to the appliance, how you approve the price, payment, parts, and what we are responsible for.

Last updated: November 3, 2026

Who we are and what we repair

King Valley Appliance Repair is a locally owned Ontario business that has repaired appliances in people's homes since September 2021, working from King City and Kleinburg.

We repair fridges (including ice makers and water dispensers), stoves, ovens, dishwashers, dryers and washers, always at your home. Work on gas stoves, ovens and dryers is done by our TSSA-certified gas technicians.

We do not install appliances, repair microwaves, or do sealed-system or refrigerant work. If a fridge has stopped cooling because of a sealed-system fault, the technician tells you so you can decide what to do next.

Booking and arrival times

Book by calling (555) 555-5555, where the lines are open 7 AM to 11 PM daily, or send the form on our Contact Us page and our booking team will ring you back to agree on a visit time.

If you call before noon, we can usually come the same day, but we cannot promise it. Visits are booked within an arrival window rather than at an exact time, because an earlier repair can take longer than planned.

To cancel or move a visit, see our Cancellation Policy.

Access and a safe place to work

At the booked time, please make sure that:

  • Someone is home who can let the technician in and approve the repair price
  • Pets are secured away from the work area
  • The appliance can be reached, with clear space around it and enough room to slide it away from the wall if the technician needs to

Our technicians wear shoe covers indoors and clean the work area before they leave.

We may decline or stop work if conditions are unsafe. A smell of gas cannot wait for a booked visit: leave the home without using light switches or phones, and once outdoors, call 911 and the Enbridge Gas line at 1-866-763-5427.

Diagnosis, price and your approval

The technician diagnoses the fault first. A diagnostic fee applies to that visit, and our booking team can tell you the amount when you book.

  • After diagnosis you get the repair price, and the work begins only once you approve that price.
  • The price you approve is the full price for that work, plus HST. No hidden fees are added later.
  • If the technician finds that more or different work is needed, they stop and ask you before doing it.
  • Your bill will never be more than 10% above our estimate unless you agree to more or different work, as Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 requires.
  • Choosing the repair means the diagnostic fee counts toward its price. Declining it means the diagnostic fee is your only charge.

Payment

You pay when the repair is finished. Keep the invoice you receive: the repair date on it is where your 90-day warranty starts, and our Warranty page explains what that warranty covers.

Parts

We fit new parts unless you agree to something different.

Some repairs need a part ordered for your model, such as a control board or a door gasket. We order it once you approve the repair and then book a return visit to fit it. A part ordered specially for your appliance is non-refundable if you cancel the repair after we order it.

Repair or replace

We recommend only the work the diagnosis supports. When the appliance is old, the failed part is expensive, or the repair would cost close to what a new unit costs, the technician says so and explains why. Whether to repair or replace is always your decision.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for damage we cause to your home or belongings through our own negligence. If you notice damage after a visit, tell us as soon as you can so we can look at it.

We are not responsible for faults that were present before our visit or for normal wear on the appliance.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Ontario consumer protection law.

Governing law, changes and questions

Ontario law, together with the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario, governs these terms.

We may update these terms. The version posted here on the day you book applies to that repair, and the date at the top shows the most recent change.

If any part of these terms is unclear, phone (555) 555-5555 or send us a question from the Contact Us page.
